Description
A refined porcelain cachepot by American ceramicist Julie LoRusso, inspired by classical heraldic and European courtly motifs. The vessel is adorned with an applied crown relief in low profile, a symbol historically associated with sovereignty, nobility, and decorative ornament within neoclassical interiors.
Hand-built in LoRusso’s Virginia studio, the cachepot is finished in luminous white porcelain, allowing the sculptural crown emblem to read crisply against the softly thrown body. The gently flared rim and subtly footed base lend balance and proportion to the form, reinforcing its classical sensibility.
Both sculptural and functional, the cachepot is ideal for small plants, herbs, or as a standalone decorative object. A timeless example of contemporary studio pottery rooted in historical reference and refined craftsmanship.
