Description
A refined porcelain vase by American ceramicist Julie LoRusso, inspired by classical European decorative motifs. The vessel is modeled in a traditional urn form and adorned with applied laurel garlands tied with ribbon bows, a motif long associated with honor, celebration, and neoclassical ornament.
Hand-built in LoRusso’s Virginia studio, the vase is finished in luminous white porcelain, allowing the sculptural garlands and bows to read crisply against the softly thrown body. A beaded rim and pedestal foot further reinforce the piece’s architectural character and historical reference.
Both sculptural and functional, the vase stands beautifully on its own or styled with florals. A timeless example of contemporary studio pottery rooted in classical precedent.
