Christofle Silver Cocktail Shaker - France

An exceptionally elegant vintage silver-plated cocktail shaker by the celebrated French silversmith Christofle, distinguished by its beautifully restrained silhouette and sophisticated, architectural proportions.

The shaker features a wonderfully sculptural form, with a gently tapered cylindrical body surmounted by a softly contoured, removable upper section. Its subtly flared shoulders and clean, uninterrupted lines lend the piece a distinctly modernist character, recalling the understated glamour of French Art Deco silverware.

Executed in silver-plated metal, the surface has a beautifully reflective finish that accentuates the shaker’s elegant proportions. The simplicity of the design allows the quality of the metalwork and purity of the silhouette to take precedence, creating an object that is as visually compelling as it is functional.

The two-part construction offers a pleasing balance of form and utility, while its substantial proportions give the piece a particularly luxurious presence.

A timeless addition to a thoughtfully appointed home bar, the shaker is equally beautiful displayed among a collection of antique silver, crystal decanters and other decorative objects.

A sophisticated example of French barware, combining Christofle’s celebrated tradition of silver craftsmanship with the enduring elegance of modernist design.
