A striking mid-20th century molded plaster bust after the antique, depicting the celebrated classical head traditionally identified as Patroclus, or a Companion of Odysseus. Monumental in scale and beautifully modeled, the sculpture is based upon an ancient Greek prototype dating to approximately the 2nd century BCE.
