An exceptional collection of twelve antique 19th-century French plaster relief medallions, each depicting a distinguished monarch from the history of France, beautifully presented in a custom shadowbox frame.
Executed in finely detailed white plaster, the medallions feature classical profile portraits of French kings spanning several centuries of royal history. Each portrait is rendered in delicate bas-relief, with remarkable attention to facial features, elaborate crowns, ceremonial dress and period hairstyles.
