English Silver Horse Form Catchall
An exceptionally elegant silver-plated dish made in England, distinguished by its sculptural equestrian detailing and beautifully restrained silhouette.
The circular form features a generously proportioned, gently recessed basin framed by a broad, polished rim. Rising from one side is a finely modeled horse’s head, rendered with remarkable attention to its expressive features, flowing mane and intricate bridle detailing. The juxtaposition of the classical equestrian motif with the dish’s clean, architectural form lends the piece a particularly sophisticated presence.
The highly reflective silver-plated finish beautifully accentuates the sculptural quality of the horse, creating an interplay of light, texture and polished surfaces.
Equestrian imagery has long been associated with aristocratic sporting traditions, country estates and the decorative arts of the English gentleman’s interior. Made in England, this piece offers a refined interpretation of that heritage, equally at home in a traditional library, contemporary residence or thoughtfully collected interior.
Beautifully suited as a catchall for jewellery, keys or other small personal objects, the dish also makes a distinguished decorative accent for a desk, bedside table, bar or entryway console.
