Founded in the late 19th century by Bawo & Dotter, B & Co. operated under the Elite Works mark in Limoges, France, from around 1896 through the early 20th century. Known for producing high-quality porcelain for the American market, the firm’s work blended classic French elegance with forward-thinking design. By 1918, their pieces were increasingly modern in form, reflecting early Art Deco influences while maintaining traditional craftsmanship. The Greek key motif on this set captures this transitional moment in decorative arts history.
