A wonderfully timeworn mid-20th century turtle fountain sculpture with an exceptional naturally aged surface and charming folk-art presence. Originally designed as a decorative water fountain, this piece transcends its functional roots and reads beautifully as a sculptural object — equally compelling styled indoors on a pedestal or console, or outdoors within a garden, terrace, or conservatory setting.

Executed in cast stone with a heavily weathered painted finish, the turtle has developed a richly textured patina over decades of exposure, revealing layers of soft whitewash, warm terracotta undertones, and mottled stone-like oxidation across the shell.
