Small Green Glazed Artichoke Tulipière - Imperfect
A wonderfully sculptural ceramic tulipière modeled in the form of a stylized artichoke, finished in beautifully varied shades of deep emerald, moss and soft leafy green.
The tiered composition is formed from overlapping, petal-like leaves, with individual openings arranged around each level for displaying single flower stems. The upper section culminates in a wonderfully modeled artichoke finial, giving the piece a whimsical botanical quality even when displayed without flowers.
The hand-applied glaze has lovely tonal variation, pooling into deeper greens along the molded edges and details and giving the piece an appealing sense of depth and character.
Please note: This tulipière is being offered as an Imperfect piece due to several small chips and areas of glaze loss, visible in the photographs. These imperfections are reflected in the sale price and do not affect its wonderful decorative presence or functionality.
